Arya Samajist Youths
Youths and young persons have played an important role in the Arya Samaj Movement. This is a wake-up call for the youth members of Arya Samaj London to come forward and whole heartedly participate in the activities and reap the benefits. Participate in the bimonthly programme organised by the youths.
Programme by the Youth Members on 3rd July 2016
The programme started with Havan Yajna. The purohit was Mrs Sangeeta Seedhar and Arya Pariwar were the Yajmans. Mrs Nalini Hiralal sang the Prathna Bhajan (with Mr Lekhram Dasmuth on Harmonium). The programme was compered by Bela Bahl.
Mrs Jayshree Dave did Ved Sudha. She recited a mantra for Yajur Veda (5.3) that the learned scholars should be of sane mind and free from sins. They should be beneficial to all and do the yajna properly. This is the prayer of the devotee.
The mantra highlights the qualities of enlightened scholars. They are the pillars of the society and their role is to impart knowledge to the members of the society. With their good behaviour they command respect in the society. The devotee prays to God that the enlightened scholars should be kind, generous, liberal and do good to all.
Mrs Saroj Kumar recited a kavita. Mr Shashi Shodeb with Vishal on table and Jai on dholak entertained the audience with melodious Bhajans. The programme ended at 5pm after announcements, Aarti and Shanti Path.
End of Term Children Programme: 10th July 2016
Anagha Patil compered the programme. There were 17 participants. The items included: speeches, Bhajans, skits, kavita,dance item, jokes, items on musical instruments (violin,and electric piano) and group dance on the tune of a patriotic song. The items presented were of high standard and were applauded by the audience. The success of the programme was due to hard work by the pupils, their parents and the Hindi Teachers. Thanks to all of them.
The participants were presented with gifts courtesy of Hindi Teachers (Mrs Saroj Kapoor and Mrs Minakshai Patil), Mrs Prem Batra, Bela Bahl and Mrs Pratibha Bahl.
