A violent, vicious and cruel world?

July 19, 2017

Everybody wants peace in the word. No religion preaches violence but wishes to promote love and peace. In spite of all this there is no peace in the word. The Hindus recite ShanitKarnam mantras. Like wise the Bible and the Koran too wish all to live in peace. In reality there is no peace any where in the world. Individuals are being killed in the households in the name of so called "bringing shame to the family" and not getting enough dowry from the parent of the recently married bride. Brothers are after the blood of their own brothers because of greed. Mad men with guns in hand shoot and kill innocent people indiscriminately in the streets, schools and colleges.

In many parts of the world there are tribal wars going on, people are being killed because of a caste system, wars are being waged in the name of the religion and some power hungry leaders are waging wars in their own countries. There are insurgents and terrorists causing mayhem in many areas of the world.

United Nations Organisation signs many treaties for peace in the world but it has no effect on the criminal elements in the society. There is no simple answer to the world wide problem. The teaching of a peaceful living should begin in one's own household, schools, temple and other places of worship and by honest and hard working politicians. The politicians should maintain peace in their own countries, peace with neighbouring countries and the world at large. This multlifactorial approach may provide the answer for peace in the world. The alternative is a violent and cruel world.
